What3Words Public Support Request

The Royal Falkland Islands Police, working with the emergency services and Falkland Islands Government, are looking to roll out a mobile app that can pin point a person’s location within 3 square metres.

The app is called What3words and is downloadable for Android and Apple devices, after that it only requires normal phone reception to function.

Because of this we are asking for the assistance of the people of the Falkland Islands. Can you tell us what locations the app works in and where it doesn’t work so we can assess how effective it will be.

When you’re out and about please test it out and then email Sgt Glen Smith at gsmith@police.gov.fk with the results of poor reception or good reception.
