Barry joined the RFIP in January 2019 after serving over 30 years in the Derbyshire Constabulary achieving the rank of Inspector.  

In his last posting he was the County Partnership Inspector holding the countywide portfolio for anti-social behaviour, community safety and cohesion, partnership working, and was a counter terrorism trainer.

 He brings with him vast experience in community policing, project management, major crime investigations, and the management of critical and crisis incidents.

 “I’ve had a lovely welcome from all and I’m looking forward to using my skills and experience to serve the community of the Falkland Islands to the best of my ability; and also whilst here enjoy the beautiful scenery and wildlife this fine place has to offer.”
